Questions about my oil leak.

I just bought this thing (2001 Savage with only 1400 miles on it) and as per my previous post, it has revealed the notorious leak. I do believe it is coming from the front of the engine. The bolt below and to the side of the exhaust has oil on it. I think that oil is coming around the cooling fins and splattering on my battery and who knows what else.

Question
According to the manual, the head bolts are supposed to be retorqued or tightend at 1000 miles. Could this be a simple fix? Maybe the previous owner didn't do it. Just tighten the bolts? If so, does anyone have the torque pattern of the bolts and the pounds of torque that the bolts need?

I talked to the dealer where I bought the bike. The service guy was very friendly and told me that worst case scenario, the repair will cost around 180. He says it may not be as bad as I think it is. He has to see it first. Even recommended just put up with it for the rest of the driving season and bring it in at the end of the summer when I don't ride it as much since I am not losing that much oil. He talked about the speedometer cable issue and the rubber bolt plug thingy as possible culprits. He said he has never seen a savage with an actual blown head gasket.

I know I probably sound like I don't know what the h e double toothpick I am talking about but honestly, I don't know what the heck I am talking about.

I bought the Savage as I heard it was a fairly easy bike to maintain. Not turning out that way. I am disapointed.

I spent alot of money on this thing and it is letting me down. Should have just bought a new one for another 800 bucks.

oh well,
